Healing Path Recovery is an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for those in recovery from substance abuse and dependence. At Healing Path Recovery, we employ the “dual diagnosis” approach in which we use a broad range of therapeutic and spiritual philosophies, combined with psychiatric care to ensure optimal treatment for the mind, body and soul. The Medical Director, Sayeh Beheshti, M.D., and all of our group therapists have an extensive background in treatment of addiction.

Therapy is performed in group settings. Therapists have extensive experience with the recovery process. Each group will be focused on a different aspect of therapy, such as psychodrama, cognitive-behavioral skills, education, trauma, meditation, etc. We provide therapy in small groups of six to eight clients in order maintain an intimate setting in which all clients will have a chance to participate.

Potential clients will undergo a one hour initial evaluation by Dr. Beheshti, the Medical Director of the program. If psychiatric medication management is indicated, Dr. Beheshti will either manage medications personally, or will coordinate care with current psychiatrist.

A minimum of two months of participation in our IOP is highly recommended, however clients may sign up for a one month commitment at a time. Once signed up for the program, clients are highly encouraged to attend every single day to get the maximum benefit possible. We also encourage clients to participate in either a twelve-step, or an alternative recovery program.
